Selection Centers and On-site Testing
Damos Aviation Services, Inc. operates a selection center just north of O'Hare
International Airport.
At this center, our personnel conduct all forms of pilot screening and selection testing.
We provide tests in all areas traditionally used for pilot screening and selection:
intelligence, spatial ability, deductive reasoning, and personality. DAS also
administers computer-based pilot selection tests, such as the WOMBAT
(Click
here for more information on the WOMBAT). These tests
assess skills and abilities that are important to a successful flying career,
such as situational awareness, multi-tasking, and multi-limb co-ordination.
These skills and abilities often are not assessed because the equipment
costs are too great for a single airline to justify. Preliminary employment
interviews and in-dept psychological assessments also may be conducted at the
client's request.
All tests will be scored on site and the results sent by mail, fax, or
electronic file to the client. The center has individual and group testing
areas. All tests will be administered by Damos Aviation Services personnel. Only
individuals who are sent by an air carrier and have an appointment will be tested.
DAS also has comparable testing facilities near Montreal-Trudeau International
Airport.
We also offer an on-site testing service. We will bring any
paper-and-pencil or computerized pilot selection test to your facilities or to a
pilot job fair. We will administer any of these tests for a fixed fee and give
your company the results immediately.
