Pilot Hiring and Selection
Damos Aviation Services, Inc  offers a complete range of pilot selection and hiring services.  For companies that do not have a pilot hiring system, we can develop a complete "turn-key" system. We develop the test weighting, establish cutoff scores, and design the validation studies. We also establish a monitoring system to ensure that the system continues to identify the best candidates in a cost-efficient manner.

For companies that feel that their pilot hiring system is not meeting all their needs, we can suggest new selection tests, optimize the selection equation, or adjust the cutting scores. For U.S. clients, we will review their systems for compliance with the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission guidelines and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

We also perform short reviews of existing selection systems for cost efficiency and compliance with Equal Employment Opportunities Commission guidelines. These reviews are normally conducted at the client's facilities and require between two and four man-days on site.

DAS personnel will also perform on-site selection testing.  We will bring any paper-and-pencil test your company needs to your facilities or to a job fair.  We also own portable computer-based pilot selection tests, such as the WOMBAT (Click here for more information on WOMBAT).  Such tests are often too expensive for a single carrier to purchase.  We will administer any of these tests for a fixed fee and give your company the results immediately.

We offer short courses on developing and evaluating pilot hiring and  selection systems. Beginning in 2007, we will offer a Testing Certification course.  This class is designed for companies that do not qualify for C or B Level selection tests. After successful completion of the course, the attendees will be certified to administer any of DAS' tests as well as those of other vendors.  For more information, please see the "Courses" page.

All of our work is performed at the highest professional standards and meets the guidelines established by the American Psychological Association, the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychologists, and the United States government. For U.S. clients, we will provide data-supported documentation that the psychometric and legal requirements for pilot selection systems were used in our efforts.
